Attending a fertility clinic when already pregnant

I have recently had two very early miscarriages and I have been referred to a private fertility clinic. My appointment is this week but I did a pregnant test this morning at CD23 and it was positive. I'm unsure what to do about my appointment; it seems like it will probably be a waste of time and money (quite a bit of money!) to attend for an initial consultation at a fertility clinic when I am already pregnant; on the other hand, could they do something to help this one stick and will I regret cancelling if I have a bad outcome over the next week or two? I am already under the care of an ob/gyn so I will be seeing him during the next week. Has anyone else been in this position?

Sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages, that must make you feel incredibly protective towards your current, and let's hope, successful pregnancy. But I am really struggling to think of something the clinic could do to make this one stick, that's surely beyond their power. If it was me, I would cancel and save the money. Best of luck x

Thanks for your response. That's what I'm thinking to, its probably too late to influence this one either way so maybe I should postpone at least; if this one sticks then I don't need the appointment but if it goes wrong then I can go back to them when I'm no longer pregnant and have all the investigations etc and a treatment plan in place if needs be, before I hopefully get pregnant again.

Why don't you contact them to ask? Some clinics specialise in miscarriage. I've no idea if they could help but it can't hurt to ask.

Second contacting the clinic. There are things that they could do though such as checking your hormone levels, thyroid, immunology tests etc as these could contribute to mc. Although an NHS recurrent miscarriage clinc may be also suitable, I'm not sure their tests are so extensive.
