Inositol for PCOS

I used to take Inositol for PCOS and that coupled with a weight loss, meant that I no longer have PCOS.

I am continuing to take it, but just wondering if anyone knows if its safe or sensible to be taking it long term, or even if I stop taking it whether PCOS symptoms may return?

my wife has just started using inofolic which is inositol + folic acid. I just thought I better reply re the orange juice, as the inofolic box says absolutely do not take with any form of sugar or glucose or it wont work so well, so she takes it just dissolved in a third of a cup of plain water. only taken it two weeks now as well as very low carb diet, and I think she is looking wonderful but then I would say that! I will ask her if she thinks she can see any benefits yet - but she had pretty unsymptomatic PCO (possibly not even POCS) diagnosed on ultrascan of ovaries and loads and loads of follicles, consultant recommended inofolic for a month before starting IVF. Apparently it is safe to take right through pregnancy (if we are lucky) Will let you know how it goes.

Good reminder for those taking inofolic Spottie.
Inositol powder is fine mixed with fruit juice (it must be some other component of the inofolic product that doesn't play well with anything other than water). I personally find taking inositol powder and a separate conception multi-vit that covers the folic acid side of things just as good and significantly more cost effective.
