Does EMLA cream help?

Will be adding in clexane to my next cycle, so have bookmarked this thread for your top tips to refer back to!

Plus side of being put on Lubion instead of Gestone means no evil bum jabs

Down side is that one more subcutaneous jab means less room on the belly to rotate around!

Thanks for useful tips - will doubtless come in very very handy

Am 99% certain EMLA cream won't help with the bruising or lumps. It just numbs the skin. And you have to be more organised in putting it on ahead of time!

Ice lollies it is!!! Grin

Just an update. For the last two injections i have ditched the ice/spray and just pinched my skin lightly. I have managed to very slowly push the needle in (at no angle) and inject the clexane slowly with no blood and no bruise!! So pleased that i might have found a solution.

Well done Fraggle! It will get easier. I didn't use ice or spray or anything, just a pinch and a purposeful injection!

Great, well done Fraggle! Be aware though that if you do happen to hit a little blood vessel, it will bleed, bruise and probably lump-up regardless. Not trying to be a dick, just don't worry if it happens.

I found holding skin lightly much better than firm pinch. If I met resistance I would reposition and try again. Well done, the first fewheels are hard
