Anyone had this test/biopsy done?

have been advised to have test done as had 4 failed private ivf

The ERA has been tested in patients who have had implantation failure with embryos of good morphological quality (at least 3 failed embryo transfers for younger women or two in patients 37 years or older). This test is recommended for patients with apparently normal uterus and with normal endometrial thickness (≤6mm), in which no problems are apparent

I haven't but am thinking about it. I've had two failed transfers now, but am only 30 so not sure my consultant will approve.

I'm also considering a whole list of immune tests... But they're pricey! Xx

Thanks sammy

I had ivf abroad for 3&4 as cheaper and lost faith in my local clinic after failed 1&2

Plus after then going to another clinic their methods are different and feel happier abroad

Problem is I can have the test done at my abroad clinic but Obv more hassle and they said have it done in uk

They send me a kit then courier pick it up and take to abroad clinic

Trying to find a local one that does it and so far only one is clinic from 1&2 so don't really want to go there

Yes things get pricey :(

They may not do as you are young and need a 3rd failure - I'm 42

here you have the link with ifnormation about ERA test

Don't know if one of the UK clinics is Create? I believe they do the ERA...

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2016 21:42

Thank you so much bananafish

I have emailed two of their branches to see if they do era

Seems not many places do it so may have to go back to madrid

Shame I don't get air miles the amount of times I've been there :)

You are wonderful Flowers

Now to find out the cost

It may be cheaper to have it done abroad even with flights

When I needed a hystercopy last year it was about £800 including flights and over here I got quoted £3/3.5k Shock

Tho it's not all about the money. It's also the ease and convenience of being local rather then flying

I am amazed that no one on these boards have had an era done

Or less at no one has replied saying that have

I'm sure it probably is cheaper abroad even including flights - most fertility treatment is!

Do keep us posted, I'm interested to know how you get on xx
