Natural/mild IVF

I am 43 and have been through two failed IVF cycles.
I am thinking about doing a natural or mild IVF.

• Does anyone have experience on them and can give me some advice, please.
• Also do you know any good clinics that do natural/mild IFV in London?

Hi I'm 41 doing Mild ivf at create fertility, I can't tell you any success history at the moment because I am still in the process, however I feel confident with their performance. I can't say they are lovely and talk to you in a sweety way, but the staff make me feel that I am in good hands, they are happy to answer whatever ever question you have and they have out of office medical support by phone. They open the 7 days of the week. However at the beginning they made me feel that all they cared about was my money but I am quite happy to choose them.

I did three cycles of natural IVF (no stimulating drugs) at CRGH. It was recommended for us as my ovarian reserve was low (high FSH, low AMH and low antral follicle count) and our consultant's advice was that stimulation was unlikely to be worthwhile as the egg released naturally was likely to be the best egg.

There were lots of scans to attend because the egg develops naturally and they have to be careful you don't ovulate and lose the egg. That never happened to me.

As there are no stimulating drugs it's cheaper (although I think CRGH is relatively expensive) and you can do further cycles without waiting for ovaries to recover. Although there were no stimulating drugs I used clexane every cycle and an endometrial scratch in the second two cycles.

The reality is though that with only one egg to play with each cycle the chances of success will always be lower (although may not be lower than a stimulated cycle if you don't have many eggs anyway) and you'll need to try a few cycles to have a realistic chance of success. We said we'd try three and then we stopped.

It didn't work for us but it helped me see that the problem was most likely with the quality of my eggs as the embryo quality was always poor and we didn't reach embryo transfer in the third cycle. Devastating at the time though and I didn't want to try any more with my own eggs After a few months break and thinking what we wanted we moved on to using an egg donor late last year and I'm now 10 weeks pregnant. I don't regret trying with my own eggs first though. It helped me have closure with that chapter.
