In shock. 21/2 years ttc dc2. Fertiling treatment, 2 miscarriages, endometriosis, laporoscopy, 2 HSGs, endless scans. Finally get myself to a specialist who diagnoses ashermans, hysteroscopy with adhesion resection scheduled for Monday. Faint positive today at 9dpo. On way to clinic to have blood test to confirm. In a total spin!

Hi Worried and congratulations!

I also had Ashermans and was treated by both Mr Lower and Mr Trew - fortunately all clear now.

Can I ask, have you actually been diagnosed with Ashermans, or are you still in the diagnostic phases? The reason I ask, is that pregnancy with untreated Ashermans carries quite a few risks. Depending on the severity of the adhesions, the uterus sometimes does not stretch properly and this can cause issues.

There is some useful info here .

I don't want to alarm you unduly, but if you already have diagnosed adhesions, it is well worth having the additional monitoring, just to be on the safe side.

Good luck Smile

Hi there. I am under Mr Trew. My adhesions are only in the lower part of my uterus and were very difficult to see in the HSG. Weren't immediately visible at the time of HSG so Mr Trew thinks they are on the lower end of seriousness. Top part of womb is fine.

I'm very worried about the risk to the pregnancy but won't be able to see where it's implanted until 5-6 weeks so just focusing on getting there first. Waiting at the moment for results of repeat HCG blood test I had this morning. I'm still only 13dpo. AF not due til Friday. If those results are ok will talk to Mr Trew about the scan. He did say last time I saw him that if I did get pg he would want to keep a careful eye.

Not sure I can afford him for the full 9 months though! Hopefully it's implanted away from the adhesions and I can transfer to consultant led NHS care?
