Just got back from the doctors again, after two miscarriages- have a fairly good suspicion that I have low progesterone but they are refusing to test for it yet - I have to be checked for diabetes (I really don't have diabetes) and a myriad of other things. When talking to the GP I mentioned I had a chemical pregnancy and she looked confused and asked what it was - and the googled it ! The NHS seems to have this habit of making you feel like your concerns aren't valid- and that you're just this crazy lady who is desperate to have a baby.

Symptoms that make me think I might have low progesterone
Periods that vary between 32-46 days apart
Crazy mood swings verging on depression (never had before most certainly not depressed)
Brown spotting after periods
Uber Carb/sugar cravings
Insomnia
Anxiety
Fatigue

I think it's also because at the hospital when I miscarried they told me 'it was so early I didn't even count as pregnant ' (6 weeks) and left me in a pool of my own blood for 7 hours. Then when I got an infection I would see a doctor for 10 minutes a day in hospital , my drip kept running out and filling up with my blood instead etc. I just feel very ignored ! Anyone else been made to feel the same?

poor you - yes i had a GP google chemical pregnancy in front of me - but she turned out to be great and get me the help I needed for extra tests. I think its just not a common term - or wasn't until fairly recently??? maybe.
My low progesterone meant i had short cycles, spotting pre periods, - and b6 50mg helped and kept me pregnant. But some people get proper progesterone. But the drs had already given up on me due to my low ovarian reserve. TBH yours cycles sound a bit pcos but I'm not an expert in that area. sorry

When I suffered one my doctor told me that when he was trained it 'was called blighted ovum but nowadays people seem to call it chemical pregnancy' he also said that he believed it was very common and only becoming more recognised because of early testing and that my mother would have dismissed it as a late period. To be fair to him he did refer me to the clinic that then gave me the clomid that lesd to my DCs. I think he was just very matter of fact.

Also have remembered my mum telling me that in her day (70's) drs didn't want to see you about a pregnancy until you had missed 2 periods. Probably because of the high mc rate under 8 weeks.

I've had ultrasounds and have no cysts so they think pcos is a low chance - great to hear other experiences. Hoping she gets more understanding when I prove that I don't have a vitamin deficiency/ diabetes!

OMG I have the same symptoms. I thought I was just a Fat depressed pig.
My GP has me on Prozac for depression. Should I be taking something you think?
I don't have pcos (but have had one cyst dangling off one ovary which I had removed).
I've never heard of chemical pregnancy and opal off to google.
