You going private nutmeg? My FSH is 23, we are moving donor, I'm too worried of trying and getting a cancelled cycle or one rubbish egg x

Thinking of going private yes with a clinic in London who treat ladies with a high FSH, where other clinics won't. Another site i have been on, one of the ladies on there recommended it. A few older ladies, 35 plus, with high FSH, 24, one of them, have had success using their own eggs. I have spoken to the clinic recently and they have told me because of my high FSH they won't do an FSH cycle using drugs as i will be unlikely to respond but they can offer me Natural IVF. It's £1500 for a cycle. One lady on this other site is age 42 with an FSH of 24.3 has just conceived naturally! She had been told there was no way she ever would. It goes to show that the doctors aren't always right. I remain ever hopeful, it only takes one good egg and you do have age on your side Lauren. I'm perimenopausal and sometimes during this time, the ovaries can do funny things, it's like they are having a last ditch attempt before going into retirement! I really don't believe that a high FSH is the end of the world. Many ladies get surprised with 'change' babies when they least expected it! I'm told by my doctor that i'm only at the very start of perimenopause, borderline, i could still go on to have periods for years yet. As it's still early on there is always the chance of pregnancy. Your FSH is similar to mine, i wouldn't count yourself out yet Lauren xx

I've done natural IVF (although with normal FSH - I just chose that route because I wanted to avoid loads of drugs). I got pg the first round but mc'd. I then did a natural modified and one more fully natural round (both gave me chem pregs) before moving to mild stimulation stimulation IVF, which gave me a BFP.
I went with Create. I liked the low key approach to natural IVF - a few scans, a blood test or two, a trigger and then EC and ET.
Littlemissnutmeg · 21/02/2014 10:19
Yes, it's Create i'm talking about. So with a Natural cycle IVF they don't use drugs at all ? Sorry, i'm not at all familiar with IVF. NHS clinic were going to try me with Clomid before my FSH went sky high, now they are saying there's no point trying as it won't benefit me. That's why i'm thinking of natural ivf. Can in ask how old you are Eurochick ?

Hi L-M-N, I'm 39 and have high FSH low AMH and low ovarian reserve, NHS have offered me a natural cycle IVF. I also got a second opinion from a private clinic how said they could try a stimulated cycle although the results aren't overwhelming as you don't respond well to the stimulation. I think you might as well try a natural cycle, if you are not already taking supplements 600mg of CoEnzQ10 and 75mg of DHEA per day can help with egg quality.

I'm 38. Was 37 when I did my cycles.
The only drugs I used on my natural cycles were an ovitrille trigger shot to help with the timing of egg collection and cyclogest pessaries after EC.

Use DHEA with caution if you have endo like me it can make it spread x
