I think it depends on the area, in our pct, I was told when trying ttc ds2, that as I already had a ds (though DH had no children of his own) they would do the tests for infertility and any drugs up to but not including ivf.

We had a good outcome any way, finding out we were pregnant half way through the tests!

Good luck

Hi, my DP has 2 children from previous relationship and we were told that we weren't entitled to IVF on NHS so went private. Good luck

think the main guidelines say if you and the current partner dont have a child together then ivf is free but as with everything to do with health ... postcode lottery!!
i already have two children and ive had free tests and can have 6 mths on chlomid free after that we have to pay!

No, you can't. You can have fertility treatment (tests and drugs) but not IVF

If you have already have a child together then the answer is no - if it is from a different partner then it depends where you live - different PCTs have different criteria. Some in the northwest will pay if there are no living children of the couple and neither partner has been sterilised.

Hi, I just wanted to echo above, it depends where you live - Cov & Warwicks PCT says so long as you don't have a child resident with you then they will fund- so thankfully my OH's 2 kids that are registered living with his exW don't count against us. This has changed though, a year ago it was if either party had any kids fullstop then no funding.
