People both here and in the EU are against GM food. We do not want to be guinea pigs for the big companies like Monsanto who want to ram their products down our collective throats.
Now their lobbyists are influencing the very government departments that are meant to look after us.

Under the guise of 'food security' or having to feed the world we are being forced to accept this krap food.
What is not known is how it could affect the body when it is fed this stuff from cradle to grave. A baby's body may not be able assimilate this stuff as well as a grown up.
There is some evidence that after a few years, crop yields drop and in India, where the farmers are tied into having to buy seed every year, instead of keeping some back for planting next year, they are killing themselves as they cannot afford to buy the special pesticides.
All in all I do not want this stuff in my food, either directly or indirectly, via animal feed.
