Shock
LittleMarshmallow · 13/04/2010 18:51

can't believe anyone would do that to any child much less to one who is deaf and blind, that poor girl must have been terrified.

JustMyTwoPenceWorth · 13/04/2010 18:58

My god. You trust someone with your child and they get pissed up and do that.

If I was the parent, I'd, well, I can't even say what I'd want to do to that woman!

MrsPixie · 13/04/2010 19:48

She wasn't even dressed - the poor wee might

WorzselMummage · 13/04/2010 19:52

Just

poor poor child.

mamazon · 13/04/2010 19:55

i couldn't read past the first paragraph.

I hope the prison staff make sure her fellow inmates know exactly what she is in there for.

MrsChemist · 13/04/2010 20:13

Makes me feel ill.

skidoodly · 13/04/2010 20:21

How?

MollieO · 13/04/2010 20:26

I heard this on the news tonight but didn't catch the whole story. Poor poor child. She had obviously tried to get out of the pushchair for it to have tipped over. Must be more to the story on why someone like this was looking after this child and I wonder where the parents were.

MrsKitty · 13/04/2010 20:38

That is utterly horrendous. WTF is wrong with some people?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 14/04/2010 08:07

That is dreadful. I imagine the prison staff will ensure that her fellow inmates are aware of the nature of her sentance.

mrstimlovejoy · 14/04/2010 21:51

that is awful poor little thing.

mrstimlovejoy · 14/04/2010 21:54

just read the 2nd link and someone has posted a comment sticking up for the stupid cow that abandoned the child.good god

SolidGoldBrass · 15/04/2010 00:55

This just sounds odd, though. Where were the child's parents? How come she was taking the child home in nothing but a dressing gown and socks? And why did no one else in the sister's house say, what about the child?

MrsSawdust · 15/04/2010 01:24

I knew I shouldn't have read this thread. And when I did read it, I knew I shouldn't click on the link.

I'm not going to be able to get to sleep thinking about that poor poor girl with her face pressed against the stone steps

TwoIfBySea · 15/04/2010 01:27

Why aren't the girl's parents mentioned though? Is that not a bit odd? What made them trust this disgrace of a woman with their dependent child and how often had this happened in the past?

I can't believe anyone in their right mind would be so foolish as to be drinking copious amounts when in charge of a child, let alone one with such disabilities. It is hearbreaking reading of how the driver found her, she must have been terrified, so isolated. God.

Sakura · 15/04/2010 02:24

My God

Northernlurker · 15/04/2010 07:57

just looked at that comment 'you have no idea how much she loves that child' - that's right - the leaving her outside alone in feezing weather wearing only a dressing gown really gives us no idea how much she loves that child.

SolidGoldBrass · 15/04/2010 09:23

You know, I think there is something really strange about this with a strong possibility the jailed woman is being made a scapegoat. I think the child is a family member and the rest of the family were all pissed up as well but for some reason one woman is being made to take the blame.
