I would like exactly the same things from him as my husband (and any other sane individual).
The most decent thing he could do right now, would be to resign immediately. It would be marvellous his odious friend and fellow bully, Ed Balls could also resign.
Obviously the chances of this happening are less than zero! So if he won't resign I would like him to have the honesty and courage to admit that his unbridled spending and borrowing over the last 13 years has wrecked our economy and brought this country close to bankruptcy. I would like to ask him why he sold off our gold reserves back in the late 90s when the price of gold was at an all time low. I would also like to ask him what he meant when he said "no more boom and bust" as house prices have tripled since he became Chancellor. DH and I bought our first flat for £115,000 a month after the 1997 election. I recently saw this flat is now on the market at a staggering £400,000. How many first time buyers could now buy our flat?
I do not want to hear his views on birthing pools, neither do I want to hear his wife telling us what a nice guy he is (Sam Cam take note!)
If he would like to be PM for another five years, then at the very least I would like him to admit that he will having to make very sweeping cuts. I do not want to have my intelligence insulted by his suggestion that he doesn't need to talk about cuts until after the election!
What does everyone else want to hear from Gordon Brown?
