BPA in baby bottles

Sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere.

Should I worry about this? How would I know if it's contained in the bottles I have? (Packaging long gone).

I know to live a life avoiding everything that is reported to "give" you cancer is probably impossible but I find it hard to know which concerns to take seriously.

What do you think?

The chemical makes the bottles totally clear, so if your bottles are cloudy or coloured (like the MAM ones) then it probably doesn't have it in.

I saw that the charity Breast Cancer UK and the NCT are supporting the campaign to ban BPA in baby bottles, but the Food Standards Agency think the levels in baby bottles are acceptable.

The Mindful Mum site thinks that the Government isn't taking into account how Mum's prepare formula in practice and therefore the BPA levels could be much higher.

Life would be so much easier for Mums if they just banned BPA from all baby feeding products all together. You can take part in the poll and support the campaign to get rid of BPA from our babies bottles once and for all here:

Just going to point out that most manufacturers have already switched to BPA free bottles this year, after the American scare.

BPA Free bottles tend to be softer and give when squeezed and they have a slight cloudy/ coloured appearence- usually the colour of honey.
