I did but labour got in by me, and all the other local areas.

emmatmg · 06/05/2005 08:47

I did and so did DH.

Strangley though, i went to the polling station to vote labour and DH went to vote tory. We went at different times of day and knew the what we were voting for different "sides". We discovered when he got home at midnight last night that we'd voted the same way.

CookieMonster · 06/05/2005 08:49

bit of a result for us here in Leeds North West - a Lib Dem gain from Labour ... so mine and Mr Cookie's vote made a difference after all!

fastasleep · 06/05/2005 08:51

Me and DH did. Labour won though, although the Lib Dems were up 2% (the Liberal guy beat them last time bleugh!)

Enid · 06/05/2005 08:55

I did

Distel · 06/05/2005 09:01

I would have if I wasn't housebound with a throat infection - don't know if that counts though.

Distel · 06/05/2005 09:04

I ment that I don't know wether that would count towards your poll - obviously diddn't contribute to the election. - I hope this makes sense, I'm not particularly with it today.

I voted too.
And Green for local but neither got in.

jampots · 06/05/2005 12:41

I did and so did dh.

Our safe tory male seat (same guy for 22 years and has been tory for ever before that) was lost to a Lib Dem WOMAN!!!!

mrsflowerpot · 06/05/2005 13:11

I did too, and he got back in, which is well deserved as he's an excellent local MP. Straight contest between the LD and Tory here, labour don't get a look in and hardly summon up the energy to ask for any votes.

Gwenick · 06/05/2005 13:36

I voted Lib Dem as did DH. It was a straight battle between our crap (ex) Labour MP and the Tory candidate - Tory came off best (just - VERY marginal seat now!).

Doesn't bother me if I 'helped' the Tory MP get in - I voted with what "I" felt was right - now must get back to work........got LOTS of products to add to website.

Juniperdewdrop · 06/05/2005 13:41

Dh and I both did. Dh wasn't going to vote at all as he's seething with labour but I said that's worse than voting for them.

muminlondon · 06/05/2005 13:54

me

Shame that the Lib Dems defeated more anti-war Labour candidates than pro-war ones. They also ensured about 10-15 Labour MPs lost out to Tories - but most of those had voted for the war.

kalex · 06/05/2005 13:58

Me

Frizbe · 06/05/2005 14:21

me too

Nome · 06/05/2005 15:07

Me too...and it made a difference - 18.9% swing away from sitting Labour MP and we now have a LD MP. A dot of yellow in a sea of blue though.

Bramshott · 06/05/2005 15:12

Yup

huggybear · 06/05/2005 15:32

and me

ninah · 06/05/2005 15:39

Gizmo · 06/05/2005 16:24

And me! Part of a 15% swing from Lab to Lib dem in Cambridge...

milosmum · 06/05/2005 16:37

me too

Cristina7 · 06/05/2005 17:33

Yes. But Labour MP is out and Tory MP in, just didn't feel like voting tactically. I'm in Wimbledon.
