Nope, me neither, it's mad and they shouldn't be given this treatment.

nailpolish · 03/05/2005 12:45

"conceived naturally"

well they do say love is blind, bless her

i dont really know if i believe it or not actually

hunkermunker · 03/05/2005 12:47

I'm usually very tolerant, live and let live and all that, but this is wrong.

cellogirl · 03/05/2005 12:50

Can you imagine being 70 and running after a 3 year old.

No thank you

FLUM · 03/05/2005 12:50

mmmm, me neither, bit selfish knowingly having baby and knowing that as soon as they are adult they will end up looking after you or else will already be without a mother.

hope they are rich, give the kid a chance at least

JanH · 03/05/2005 12:51

It wasn't IVF, it was water from her well . Of course.

biglips · 03/05/2005 12:51

OMG. it getting worse and worse about these ald pensioners have a baba.. i cant imagine my nan having a baba. no!no!no!.. i dont agree with it at all as not fair on child as she is getting on as nearly 70!!!

Gobbledigook · 03/05/2005 12:51

OMG.

suedonim · 03/05/2005 13:16

Rather her than me!

JoolsToo · 03/05/2005 14:25

one has to question the doctors surely?

expatinscotland · 03/05/2005 14:28

She was 67 and still ovulating viable eggs? Whoa.

JoolsToo · 03/05/2005 14:30

can't believe it I'm afraid!

cellogirl · 03/05/2005 16:15

I cant belive you lot are doubting the power of the magic wishing well. Cynics.

lunavix · 03/05/2005 16:18

Umm

ewww, basically.

Blu · 03/05/2005 16:22

Ok, I'm certainly not advocating 67, well water or not, but what do you think is the limit?

Within the span of natural childbearing age?

Rachee · 03/05/2005 16:23

i am sorry , but a temination would be sensible or adoption. This child will not have a mother at 20 !! Can you imagine, i couldn't be without mine and i am in my 30's.
Put it up for adoption, give it a chance for a long time family....

lunavix · 03/05/2005 16:27

I don't think you should be a parent in your 60s. Dads or mums.
Tbh I think in your 50s is dependent on how active you are.

(runs and hides)

Fio2 · 03/05/2005 16:28

gosh my MIL is 69 now and she reads me the obituries every time I ring her

SenoraPostrophe · 03/05/2005 16:33

I think it depends on lifestyle too.

I must say she doesn't look like a woman who has a couple of grand spare or IVF.

SenoraPostrophe · 03/05/2005 16:34

lots of people don't have a mother at 20 though.

Rachee · 03/05/2005 16:45

i know that, truely, and i don't mean to be cruel, .... my mother lost her mother before 20 and i have had to grow up with a mother that doesn't truely understand some of the parenting things..... like when to let go, how to develope the relationship to adults, etc.

So , i stand by what i say, a child (if possible) needs to have a mother. It is best.

FLUM · 03/05/2005 16:47

in all fairness she is probably starting menopause and thinks she is pregnant. perhaps having a bit of an elderly moment too. my mum is 60 and gets them all the time.

hana · 03/05/2005 17:42

she isnt - false signs (story updated)

JanH · 03/05/2005 22:52

It's a phantom according to this.

Awww. Sad now! Poor old stick!

Tinker · 03/05/2005 23:53

That is quite sad now.
