And of course, only those youths with spots are problematic.

But not all teenagers are spotty. What are they trying to do? Are only attractive teenagers allowed to hang around?

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 25/03/2009 21:29

I heard it on the radio today, it's just so depressing.

Can you imagine - gawky teenager with spots, low self confidence, trying to hang out with mates. Mates stand there and go "ha haaaaa!" because lighting makes it look worse. Really cruel to do that on purpose to a person.

I'm nearly 34 years old... I still get spots.

What an unbelievably stupid idea.

myredcardigan · 26/03/2009 10:28

What is wrong with them hanging around anyway??? Congregating around a bench or street corner is not in itself anti-social. They're just being teenagers and the vast majority of them will grow up to be decent members of society.

I cannot believe that people think it's acceptable to single out and victimise one section of society. Shame on them.

I think the money would have been betterspent paying a youth worker to run a club twice a week where they can hang out, be themselves and eat crap.

QuantitativeMeasure · 26/03/2009 10:30

Idiots.

Why not invest money into youth shemes?

jesuswhatnext · 26/03/2009 16:46

so, they move the kids from the area, have they provided any facilities elsewhere for them? don't suppose so, this sort of thing makes me so

southeastastra · 26/03/2009 16:51

very very idiotic
