Should "celebs" be blasted for promoting junk food?

here

I appreciate what The Food Commission are trying to say, but I dont ever remember wanting my parents to get something just because it was promoted by a celeb.

And, on a side note... I never knew Bran Flakes were bad!

It does seem a little OTT! Not that the celebs will care though, I imagine!

I want to see Vicky Beckham promoting those edamame beans....

Surely though, the thing Kelly Holmes did (I didn't see it as we don't eat coco pops) was promoting breakfast, and I would have thought that eating something, even if it was coco rocks pops or whatever they are called, was better than eating nothing

elf, i don;t thikn when we were young ,there were sleb endorsements, but if there were , they were not on the same scale..

or they tended to promote healthy stuff?

up to the parents to say NO, or limit the amount of 'junk' their children have

What makes me laugh is that you can look at most kellogs cereal and they have the same point value (if you are doing ww) so not much difference between any of them.

Plus, imo, less likely to add sugar to rice crispies / coco pops than you are cornflakes / bran flakes etc
