There will be no shops left at this rate! Not that I have any money to go shopping anyway, but I do wonder which shops are going to survive the crunch?

I was very to hear this. Principles is my fave clothes shop ever.

I didn't even know they were no longer part of the Arcadia group.

I heard Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis were all in too but had been brought out by an icelandic bank. The bankers have really screwed up hey!

We spent all day in work not knowing what was happening to us and I think today is going to be the same. Nobody has told us anything and we are finding out information through the press. We feel very let down at the moment, we are all hoping that because Principles are such a strong brand that somebody will buy us out. We are all feeling bad, am abit worried about going into work in a bit as I'm scared there will be a notice on our window

They've been bought up according to the news at 4am. Our local shopping centre has the solution to the empty shops. Oh yes, they do. The local authority (ie the taxpayers) are paying to put big stickers on the shops to make them into mock shopfronts .

Yes folks, instead of lowering rents and supporting small businesses to stay in business, we are gussying up the shopfronts to be pretend stores - ironically one of them's a toyshop - which is ironic because it used to be Woolies.

Hope it works out for you lumpsdumps
