Is it worth the risk of being stuck or in an rta for?

spookycharlotte121 · 02/02/2009 22:33

well we will need milk in the morning and Im going to walk and get it. Pop the kids in their buggy and trudge to the shops. I think its safer than driving. Im dreading driving to uni if its still like this at the end of the week.

They can manage just as well without you as they can without me (TA in a closed school) Do you have far to drive?

SlartyBartFast · 02/02/2009 22:37

half an hour, so it is quite far in my opinion,..
decisions decisions,
if the schools are closed that will be my answer.

I didn't bother with work this AM.

Couldn't actually, DS's school was closed. Tomorrow too.

Kaloo20 · 02/02/2009 22:37

my personal classification of essential

essential - worth driving for

running out of chocolate
needing milk/bread
getting to a good hill for sledging

non essential

going to work - unless you perform an essential service
going to school
seeing MIL/Mother
anything you don't want to do

SlartyBartFast · 02/02/2009 22:38

good classification kaloo.

So do you all think I can get away without driving to get the car MOTed tomorrow? Do you think that if I get pulled over/am involved in an RTA with no MOT that I can pleed snow and official warnings? I think not

SlartyBartFast · 02/02/2009 22:40

hmm, if you dont use the car and reschedule appointment, you surely shoudl be fine callme

OP posts:
LadyMuck · 02/02/2009 22:42

callmeovercautious,
of course you can postpone your MOT. But if it has expired then the only time you can drive your car is to your MOT.
