Saw this on the news - a very dramatic start to life! My prayers are with them.

BouncingTartan · 19/01/2009 07:53

'We received a call at about 6.30pm last night that a 27 weeks pregnant female was having a twin birth.'

Well it's hardly going to be a pregnant male???

I really hope these babies will be ok, poor mum and dad must be very worried. Praying that grow in strength.

JustKeepSwimming · 19/01/2009 08:26

What seems the worst bit at the moment is she is still in Stornoway whilst the babies are in Glasgow. Hope she can transfer soon to join them.

SENDING SOME ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
MN VIBES TO THEM ALL

My DTs were born at 27 weeks and I hope that she can be with her little son & daughter soon.

This is when the NHS and everyone else do such a deffo brill job to help families

Well done to all who got them to Glasgow

JustKeepSwimming · 19/01/2009 14:59

BBC says they are 'stable' so that's good.
I think.

News says the parents are getting down to Glasgow today.

snowleopard · 19/01/2009 15:28

I wonder if that "female" thing is a scottish thing - my elderly scottish neighbour is always calling some local woman or other a "female". Makes them sound like lions.

Anyway am also sending her my most positive vibes. Grow and thrive babies.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 19/01/2009 16:18

I hope everything goes well for them and that the parents are with their babies soon, must be awful to be separated (even knowing they are getting a good medical care where they are iyswim)

belgo · 19/01/2009 16:20

My thoughts and prayers are with them as well

Shitemum · 19/01/2009 16:20

Why didnt they take the mother with them?

belgo · 19/01/2009 16:24

presumably not enough space as she would also need a bed and an attendent. The twins themselves would have needed medical professionals.

MmeLindt · 19/01/2009 16:26

The poor babies, and the parents too. How awful that they were unable to go down to Glasgow with the twins.
