OK so it was George Bush who gave him the medal but surely someone who was involved in the fabrication of evidence to support the Government's decision to invade Iraq doesn't deserve a medal for promoting peace?

Or is George Bush being ironic?!?!

Perhaps the US will ask for it back next month?

Peace a la 'Gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette'.
Bit premature, non?
Let's see what happens to Iraq after US and British troops leave the country.

I felt ill when I heard it on the radio...

Bushisms are funny now that he's leaving, but this wasn't....

Blair looked really embarrassed- I think he needs the association like a hole in the head but he got what he deserved!

John Howard, ex-Prime Minister of Australia got one too (as did the Columbian President).

He got one up on the two of them though - he was offered and accepted the chance to stay at Blair House, the President's official guest house, for the night before the ceremony (Blair and the Columbian president came up with "alternative accommodation arrangements").

This was all fine until it was leaked that he had actually bumped one Barack Obama who had requested that he and his family move in on January 4....

Should add too that there are 119 rooms in Blair House - only Howard and his wife were due to stay there....
