I actually think he sounds quite sweet.

yeah he may not spend a lot but he seems to be thoughtful.

I think the paper are trying too hard to paint him as a hard hearted skinflint esp with the comment that "didn?t even get his own mum a gift. But did rebuild her kitchen when he was on holiday in December." TBF I think rebuilding her kitchen is a lot more thoughtful and time consuming than buying her a gift.

And the gifts he brought his dp seem thoughtful.

I think he sounds nice too.

Read the title and wondered why my dh was in the news

he sounds lovely!

Aren't they normal sort of Christmas presents then? A cd is a nice present. A rocking horse and a bit of tat is ideal for a 3-year-old. £30 is generous - I don't routinely look to spend £30 on any one present at Christmas.

I don't think he sounds that tight... Surely you can easily get married for £500?

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 10/01/2009 17:47

If you've got four teenagers, plus a smaller one, yes £30 each seems quite reasonable.

You know what pees me off - so many people will be going "Look! He's Britain's tightest man and you did that. you're like him!" when actually it's quite reasonable.

And yes, i agree that he actually sounds quite thoughtful.

Gosh, I agree - he sounds like a kind and thoughtful bloke.

I agree...he sounds lovely, thoughtful and to be honest I would love a man that considered our financial future and was good at DIY too!

Mind you though...dunno about the Mr Wales bit...is that his job?
