I agree with Elfonthetopshelf. Some people just aren't happy unless they are starting uproar over something.
Talk about yesterdays news though.I first received that nativity as an email forward in 2000! It's been changed a bit, the "Whats that? A train" in answer to the word Virgin is new, but it's essentially the same thing.

"Monged" typically now means drunk / spaced out etc but I think people get upset because it most likely comes from "Mong" (I remember a thread kicking off when somebody said they wanted to mong out in front of the telly)
A lot of words now are used for one thing without the users knowing the full meaning of the word which can upset the people who do iyswim.

Ah, I miss drama classes. I did GCSE and A Level, I miss it!!

What does "monged" mean? Never heard it. I am so not down with the kids.

WalkinginWaynettaWonderland · 09/12/2008 19:44

How spiffing. Made one sound, and feel, like one was in the cast of EastEnders when one read it.

Thought it was fab, although a bit disappointed that the used the word "down" instead of "dahn"....

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 09/12/2008 19:45

here

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 09/12/2008 19:45

sorry, link is to urban dictionary for "monged"

BitOfFun · 09/12/2008 19:52

I thought it was great- works brilliantly in a Scouse accent too!

BreevandercampLGJ · 09/12/2008 19:53

It is a play on the word Mongol, which was the very old, very unacceptable descriptive term for a child with Downs.

BreevandercampLGJ · 09/12/2008 19:57

Mong Noun. Imbecile, idiot. Offensive expression alluding to someone with Down Syndrome.

ThingOne · 09/12/2008 21:53

Blimey! I remember Mongol (I am old) but had no idea about monged.
