our local news covered a story about a family who were turned away from a football match because they had a 2 month old baby with them.they were told it was too cold to be outside for 2 hours with a baby of this age.personally i think the football club were right in their decision.before i had my dd i used to go to the football and it is bloody freezing this time of year.my mum went to the match and she said it was very cold.just wondered what your thoughts were.

Cold, noisy, cramped, jostly and a leetle bit risky I'd say, but I took my babies up mountains in a sling so I am being highly hypocritical.

Not entirely life threatening so I'd say parents' decision, not the football club's tbh.

Should be parents' decision. Baby could be wrapped up warm, and snuggled up close to parent in a carrier.

Bit chilly for the mother to get her norks out for feeding though .

Not the football club's decision to make. If they went in the town with a two month old baby or for a walk in the woods they could easily be two hours in the cold. As long as it was wrapped up warm then the baby would be ok.

thanks for your responses.i hate the cold and just the thought of standing around with a baby for 2 hours makes me shiver.i suppose if the parents are happy to do this then you are right it's their decision.

Babies in a sling stay very warm. Absolutely NOT the football club's decision to make. Would they have turned away a 90-yr old too because it was too cold for him to be out?
