Why do they have to be mutually exclusive?
IMO children don't need chocolate to look forward to christmas, it is just a nice bonus!
Children also don't need pudding but I am sure no-one would be stupid enough to suggest that getting it makes them retarded as adults
As for all of you banging on about the message of christmas... it is not an exclusive holiday in fact it has its roots in a completly different "religon". Just because you choose to see it as being about the birth of christ does not mean we have to as well.
Whilst you are on your high moral ground can you please tell me where you stand on buying presents for your children - I am guessing they don't get anything from non Christian santa? Oh and they won't get anything they don't need will they - after all that is not the idea of christmas is it?
I wounder what will be under Libby's tree this year...
