my thoughts are - guilty as hell, i think the man is weird and his excuse of playing with little boys because he didnt have a "childhood" doesnt wash with me.
so why do so many others (oddly enough, his fans) believe him to be completly innocent and wronged by all of this.

the boy who has made these claims against him may very well be trying to get money and it may never of happened, but MJ does have a strange, un-natural fascination with young boys, which if he was a 42 yr old factory worker from wigan, would surely have been investigated and no parent would let thier child within 100 metres of the man.

just curious what you all think, DP thinks its all blown out of proportion...but i think that there is no smoke without fire...

I agree with piffle - and I may be synical but I do think that the parent s are primarily interested in money. I think that is one of the reasons why they didn't say no to this happening in the first place.

Dh and I are form Wigan - but he's not hairy

exactly, re the money issue

I do know that his prosthetic nose won't be getting the TLC and super glue it needs if he does have to go to goal. Yuck

suzywong · 01/03/2005 12:47

and I am GUTTED that Stevie Wonder is going to be a character witness

Innocent until proven guilty. I personally don't think he's guilty of anything more than being incredibly naive and stupid, don't reckon he has it in him to molest anyone. Musically he's a genius and geniuses are often said to be a bit loony. I feel very sad for all concerned that its come to this, especially all the children involved.

I think the whole thing is very suspicious - even if he has the mind of 12 year old he has the body of a sexually mature man - a dangerous combination.

No one seems to have commented on his ex-wife's role. She is apparently appearing as a witness for the prosecution. Now, how can someone who effectively sold her children (in return for a nice divorce settlement) stand in judgment on this issue? If she is appearing for the prosecution, she presumably has some information to damage him, in which case why are her children still with him???

gosh, suzy i'd missed that. how shocking.

I think he probably is guilty and I veer between feeling sorry for him and bein g revolted by him. he is clearly not sane or balanced, and as nutcracker says he cannot be believed when he says brazenly that he has had no facial surgery! I can see him escaping conviction though...it striked me that the defence has enough to discredit the boy's mother and have the case dismissed.Either way he'll be persona non gratis for evermore and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if he took extreme action, if you get my drift......everyone's a loser here.

donnie · 01/03/2005 14:52

yes good point freckle, it all connects to the fact that this case seems to be ultimately about money. How despicable these people are!

I thought this was really good reading , because it goes into detail about the evidence, talks a lot about the credibility of the witnesses, too. I think that he'll be done on kidnapping, if nothing else.
