I was luckily in Frankfurt that day along with my colleague who regularly travels on the Piccadilly line at that time of the morning.

My ex colleague lost her son that day.

Since then I have dramatically cut down my tube travel.

Just wanted to acknowledge it really.

We had been let down badly by an agency re after school nanny and the agency sent us another girl, 18 years old, who'd been with us 2 days. She was amazing. She phoned me at work as soon as she heard the news, and to check I was okay, and that she would collect the children and just stay with them, all night if necessary if I had problems getting home ( she was nly contract for 2 hours, after school). When I did get home, and she left, she mentioned that her dad was in town ,and she hadn't been able to contact him all day, but hse'd just had a call from her mum to say he was okay. What am amazing girl - she must have been worrie sick about her dad, but was incredibly professional and didn't even let the chioldren see or hear the news.

Exactly a week before the bus bomb, to the miniute, I had been sitting in the sunshine on a bench in Tavistock Sqare, where the blast hit.
