For this case how likely is it that they would have been someone else in the house other than suspect?

Why do you ask?

The police will have known who was in the address prior to carrying out a planned armed arrest attempt as it forms part of their risk assessment. Not sure why it affects you or anyone else.

Don’t understand your question? Why does it matter?

Just wondering what happens to the door and if there are any pets inside

I think if you're married to someone who kills other people then a broken front door is the least of your worries

I'm sure the police are quite capable of scanning the house for a sign of any pets (police officers have pets too) and checking with neighbours.

That’s terrible CCTV footage! I could barely make anything out.

I guess the fact no one was aware of him particularly made it safer? It presumably wasn’t the kind of house where people were reporting ‘incidents’ occurring?

If no-one else is present then the door will be secured before they leave - a moot point in this particular case given police remained at the address carrying out searches over a couple of days.

Pets are removed before board-up. If suspects cannot suggest anyone to look after them then they will be taken to shelters.

In a lot of cases kids are present - awful for them but the police still need to make the arrest in a way that doesn’t alert the perpetrator 🙁

There are stickers for people to put in their front window to alert the emergency services that there are pets in the home. Mostly, I think, for people living alone in case they are taken ill (or worse), so that people are aware that their pet needs looking after.
