She's not really a numpty - she didn't know she was pregnant.

whomovedmychocolate · 09/06/2008 21:29

Yeah I know, but a bumblebee. Can you imagine the paramedics face?

am sure she got her costume off in time

poor woman, what a trauma, unassisted, unexpected , prem birth. thank god she and her baby are ok, must have been so stressful

cadelaide · 09/06/2008 21:34

Seems to me she coped really well, good on her.

edam · 09/06/2008 21:34

She wasn't dressed as a bumblebee, story says her room-mate was - subs have decided not to let the facts stand in the way of a good headline!

Blimey, poor woman, can you imagine the shock? Hope he carries on doing well.

misdee · 09/06/2008 21:35

oh what a diddy baby, i hope he gets bigger and comes hoem with her soon.

cadelaide · 09/06/2008 21:36

Yes lulu.

DD was born at home unexpectedly, very quickly. I was scared and I knew what was happening.

whomovedmychocolate · 09/06/2008 21:36

Aitch - don't jest, I was admitted today with periods of intense contractions and 4+s of glucose. I'm only 32+4 and the little sod has been making bids for freedom for ten days. Luckily my cervix is staying firmly shut - so he's not coming out till he's cooked. Will probably end up going overdue after all this!

Poor woman, what a shock. Hard enough when you have 9 months to prepare!!

hatwoman · 09/06/2008 21:38

not sure edam - I wondered if maybe they all were?

I hope the baby is ok. made me feel quite teary. nice picture of them both - she looks quite blossomy which is saying something.

(btw, dh thinks your pre shs school has a hilarious name...having grown up round there (ish) I just sigh at him...)

AitchTwoCiao · 09/06/2008 21:44

yikes, i thought you were further on than that, soz. hope everything's fine, will FB you.

whomovedmychocolate · 09/06/2008 21:45

That's alright Aitch. I am maintaining my healthy disdain for the medical profession's pronouncements on the matter. I reckon I'm fine.

i wish id worn a bumble bee suit it would have made it more fun

CristinaTheAstonishing · 09/06/2008 22:04

I don't know and now I'm curious.

largeginandtonic · 09/06/2008 22:16

Whomoved my last 2 made desperate bids for freedom at exactly 32 weeks. Both little darlings were still in there until well past their due date. The doctors kept jumping up and down and insisting on rest. I was so bored.

They were 42 and 41+3 in the end!

Next time i am ignoring it all and staying at home

Good luck!

Poor woman also, what a flippin shock. He does look like a sweetie and she looks great!

whomovedmychocolate · 10/06/2008 11:05

Yep DD tried the same at 29 weeks and was dragged out the catflap at 43+6 so I'm not unduly concerned, but thanks!

Yes dry liners put plasterboard up and skim plaster too (glad to have been useful for today )

theBOD · 10/06/2008 11:24

sorry but as a man can anyone explain to me how a woman might not realise she is pregnant?
