I find this case deeply troubling and always have. Something about it felt off from the start, but I had to assume justice had been followed. Then around a year ago concerns - reputable ones - started to emerge, followed by an entire panel of experts in February.

Yet still nothing is happening, it was way down on the BBC homepage, it wasn’t discussed on here, and everyone is still tiptoeing around it, anxious to express the view that they are ‘not saying she’s innocent’ and the Thirlwell enquiry continues investigating crimes that probably didn’t take place.

Has madness completely taken hold?

I’m astounded that some people refuse even to entertain the possibility that she may have been the victim of a miscarriage of justice.

I’d also add that anyone who has had a bad experience with the nhs / needed to complain will know exactly how they act. Notes go ‘missing’ , it’s extremely hard to get any admittance of wrongdoing. I had a terrible experience once and complained and had notes missing and then fraudulent notes created to fit with what they wanted to pretend actually happened . I managed to get the missing notes as had a relative working in the department which they weren’t aware of . They even tried to say they had no records of drs working on that day and made false printouts of test results , stuck my detail label over the date and time stamp and photocopied the page then added that to my notes . I asked for the original to peel the name label off to see the real date and time and they refused I then presented them with the missing notes .

Imagine having a jury trial knowing the chances of someone like this being on it.

What did they do?! I have a friend who requested her notes for legal purposes. They clearly just had full missing pages with no explanation.

Sorry I haven’t rtft but I wonder if JH is adding his weight to this case in order to flush out other failings.

He wrote a book which included suggestions on how the NHS could better manage failings by not scapegoating one individual but learning lessons- a bit like the airline industry did in the 1980s.

LL might still be guilty but we may learn more about the role of others higher up the food chain. I see further convictions ahead.

They refunded me for the MRI they hadn’t done that I’d had to go and pay for privately and said that ‘an administrative error had been made’ and that’s why there was an ‘innaccurate imaging report’ and they were sorry that I felt there was malicious intent behind this …

To me they have never managed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that any crimes were actually committed. 🤔🙄
