apparently but different news sites are reporting different things and some are not mentioning it at all. Does anyone know more?

So Kerrymum, you think that i shouldn't let her go even if they don't go until storm is over or they are sure there won't be one ??

I don't think dd would thank me for stopping her from going and it turns out to be a false alarm.

I am confident that the teachers going will not take any chances with my child wellfare, and won't board a ferry unless they think it safe to do so.

Their crossing is 6 1/2 hours. All children are takiong travel sickness meds before hand.

I went up Table Mountain at Christmas spacepuppy. We picked a day that was cloudless, windless and 34 degrees of heat.

It was fab

portsmouth to where Cracker?

I sailed down that way during a storm and it was awful. AFAIK people tried to sue the ferry company for sailing as the weather was so bad, they must have known before the ferry set off.

Anyway, I very much doubt they'll sail if the strom does affect the route. If they are delayed they'll either have to wait or will it'll be cancelled.

Portsmouth to Caen.

Have just checked the weather forecast for both areas on Monday and neither mention anything about high winds, just heavy rain.

oh bollocks half ds2 and ds3's window has blown out already (courtesy of ds1's latest headbutt)- we'll lose more in another storm.

Before he went away my DH just mended some of our fence that blew down in the last storm.

He'll be well chuffed (not) if he comes back and has to do it again!

We're near Portsmouth Cracker, and they will cancel the ferries when the weather is too bad. They'll have to wait until the storm is over and they'll try and put them on the next one.
