Labour has been in power for over 10 years. Problems with the nhs cannot be blamed on the Tories now.

Any problems that the Tories might have caused should have been corrected now. Its not as if Labour has just come to power.

Cammelia · 24/08/2007 17:06

Depends what you bribe them with kerala, it might be positions or work contracts not money

Reallytired · 24/08/2007 17:11

Don't you think that Tony has some say who goes on the committees.

Rather than calling a politican a "ponce" or critising his hair cut. What the about policies and ideas for improving the country.

Is labour really the party that people voted for. Especially when you consider that they have changed their leader and a lot of their policies. OK I know you vote for a MP rather than a party.

Does Gordon Brown have the mandate of the people?

SueBaroo · 24/08/2007 17:55

You know, reallytired, when I hear some stonkingly fabulous policy ideas from the Tories, I'll take note of something other than the 'aura' that DC has, poncey hair and all.
Redwood had some good things to say the other day, but until there's an election called, I don't think I can be sure what Cameron stands for, tbh.

Cammelia · 24/08/2007 20:51

But suebaroo we do know what Tony Blair stood for

morningpaper · 24/08/2007 21:00

lol he is Mr Ponce

agree that John Prescott would definitely be allowed this sort of expression

morningpaper · 24/08/2007 21:02

here is an interesting fact

if you ask people what they think of the NHS, they say "ooh it's rubbish"

if you ask them what their own personal experience of the NHS is, they say "ooh it's been fantastic"

studies show this repeatedly

it is the best and fairest healthcare system in the world

we should be proud of it

beansprout · 24/08/2007 21:02

V true mp, v true.

ScummyMummy · 24/08/2007 21:02

I do know what you mean, re policies taking priority over personalities in an ideal world, Reallytired. But D Cameron is so ineffably irritating that I cannot assess his policies in any rational way, no matter how hard I try.

Cammelia · 24/08/2007 21:03

That's how I feel about all politicians

pooka · 24/08/2007 21:26

That's spot on MP.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 24/08/2007 21:28

Does he have policies Scummy? I didn't know that.

beansprout · 24/08/2007 21:29

We love David Cameron because he gave the Tories hope.... and then took it all away again, which is even better than watching them in the doldrums.

Cammelia · 24/08/2007 21:29

I think Dave wants to be liked which will never work.
Look at Tony Blair.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 24/08/2007 21:31

There are two things I can't get over about Dave. One was the cycling to work and having his driver drive behind him with his shoes. The other was him being in the Bullingdon (ultra-posh dining society at Oxford) and then saying he had had a perfectly normal university experience.

I think their clientele was slightly different.

beansprout · 24/08/2007 21:33

Cameron reinvented himself as a Blair-like leader, just as the Blair era and style was about to end (never to return) which was a monumental miscalculation.

Oh dear, the Bullingdon Arms.

Why is that name ringing a bell

ScummyMummy · 24/08/2007 22:18

lol Kathy. Maybe that's the problem.

Hurlyburly · 24/08/2007 22:19

DH tells me the Bullingdon's speciality was to go to good places and trash them. It was okay because they always paid for the damage they caused. Is this true?
