Wow, that chiswick one is expensive. You could just get an au pair fo a lot less.

WideWebWitch · 31/07/2007 15:38

look, buy time, n London

I really would love someone to do all that home organisation stuff, my brain feels like it's going to explode sometimes with all the teddy bears picnics and trips to skate rinks and no uniform days and cake sales blah blah. Although dh remembers some of it so not all in my head (he took the teddy, I forgot),

WideWebWitch · 31/07/2007 15:39

I was going to set one of these up in 1997, it was going to be called It's About Time and a friend and I were keen but didn't get any further than a trip to the patent office and a business plan

geekgirl · 31/07/2007 15:41

I loathe shoe shopping with the children and would v. gladly farm it out

can see that getting a proper haircut would be equally time-consuming & stressful (have avoided that issue by just letting hair grow/trim it myself)

Quattrocento · 31/07/2007 15:41

I would (have) value(d) that service, Olive. Sadly. Please don't laugh at me.

geekgirl · 31/07/2007 15:42

(and I'm a SAHM by the way - would still happily get it done by someone else)

bundle · 31/07/2007 15:42

£39/hr isn't bad

WideWebWitch · 31/07/2007 15:45

you need to be organised

my I suggest a diary and a To Do List?

Quattrocento · 31/07/2007 15:46

Idris, it's not to do with enjoyment or otherwise. It's to do with lack of time.

bundle · 31/07/2007 15:46

(i meant isn't bad for profit margin..it's bloomin ridiculous to pay someone £39/hr to go to blockbusters and pay the gas bill)

Anna8888 · 31/07/2007 15:46

I too love shoe shopping and the hairdressers with my daughter...

OliveIsSoNotHereAndOnABreak · 31/07/2007 15:47

(and they would come back with a shit film too I bet. Involving Tom Cruse or someone equally rubbish)

I do my girls shoes so I can be a control freak and prevent them purchasing some sparkly pink sequinned monstrosities.

I can never remember what size they are though - it doesn't rank as fascinating enough for my brain to retain the info.

Do the stuff you like to do with your kids and by all means get someone else to do the stuff you find dull, I say.

I'd actually love to work running errands for 'busy' people.

I plan to do that as a side business in a bit here.

I would charge about £15 - £20 per hour.

bundle · 31/07/2007 15:54

I drew round dd1's feet when I was buying a pair of birkenstocks for her, rather than take her into town

I'd gladly clean Xenia's toilets for free in exchange for living on her island rent free .
