Exactly. It's not the level of scrutiny that is the issue - it's the fact that people have the right to take your children away from you in circumstances shrouded with secrecy and intimidation. That's the point.

Pat Mustard - I don't think you are getting the point. This is not about some imaginary trade off between separating a certain proportion of children from good parents vs leaving a certain proportion in danger.

The anger on this thread is about accountablility and the lack of it in a very important job.

Who do the current levels of secrecy help?
Why can't cases in family court be reported the way rape cases are?
