Was just on the news.

Didn't think she'd have any more myself.

I'm slightly gloomy that she will be skinny throughout and back in size 8s a week after the birth, while I'll be lumbering about, whale like, a month or so after the birth.

posyhairdresser · 31/08/2004 10:51

but at least no one will poke fun at you if you don't lose the weight within seconds

aloha · 31/08/2004 10:51

True, but I will want to throw myself out of the window every time I see her flat stomach!

fuzzywuzzy · 31/08/2004 10:53

I always wander how they manage it, I had dd a couple of weeks after Elle Macpherson had her baby. Was shocked to see her perfectly flat and smooth tum in crop top six weeks after she'd had hers.... mine was all wrinkly and deflated balloon like for at least four months probably more.

posyhairdresser · 31/08/2004 10:54

try releasing a few crap records - see if that helps with the weight

posyhairdresser · 31/08/2004 10:56

get some lipo when you deliver then hire a retinue of staff - nannies, chefs, exercise gurus, stylists, spiritual advisers, have a bit more plastic surgery and you'll be fine

aloha · 31/08/2004 11:00

I would if I could! Roll on that Lottery win...

pepsi · 31/08/2004 11:03

My first baby was due on 6th March, I know excactly when we conceived and my dates were exact. This means that they conceived during Euro 2004.......no wonder David missed that penalty, he had other things on his mind.

Stripymouse · 31/08/2004 11:26

So they didn?t conceive in Morocco on their famous TTC holiday..shame, I imagine the name Morocco would have been right up their street!
I really hope that the pregnancy goes to plan and that it all works out for them. I also hope that the media hype suggesting that the baby is their way of trying to reunite the family is just hot air as anyone who has ever had a baby will know that this is a risky idea at best. I know they lead a very priveleged lifestyle in terms of world status and financial stability but I am very very glad that I am not in her shoes. I am quite happy in my low status little world with people not looking twice at baby sick on my shoulder or my perpetually untidy hair.

how on earth can anyone have a mega flat belly in 6 weeks? I thought you weren't supposed to start to exercise heavily until a month post-natal?

fuzzywuzzy · 31/08/2004 18:07

The stomach was on show she was wearing a cropped top, and yes I know we're not supposed to excersise before six weeks, which is what makes me wander....

sweetkitty · 04/09/2004 20:09

I read the babe was conceived when DB was "laid" up with a dodgy ankle and they had a weeks love in in Sawbridgeworth. Nice ring to it Sawbridgeworth Beckham. Why do celebs have a weeks love in? Why not mid week quickie cos I'm ovulating like the rest of us??

Shame she's having it in Spain she could have been on Portland Babies!

bighug · 05/09/2004 09:31

It'll have to be her last won't it? You can't have more than 3 Ceasarians can you? Or do celebreties get away with more if they want to? I've got a lot of time for her and Becks as they both seem like loving parents.

jampot · 05/09/2004 09:38

She could call it Britannia to cover all possible conception locations and to remind David precisely where it is they belong!!!

Nimme · 05/09/2004 09:46

I just knew some skinny bitch would go and get preggers whilst I am blooming in a whale'ish kind of way..............

As I am due in Dec I only have 3 months to get back into shape before VB has popped baby and popped into old jeans. ARGH..................

Perosnally think the name Julie would go with their brood!

posyhairdresser · 10/09/2004 19:33

Another boy, says the Sun...Hola?

LIZS · 10/09/2004 19:47

Heard that on the aol site. Apparently had scan last weekend and have quickly recovered from initial disappointment at not being a girl. However surely she's maximum 14 weeks, can they really tell so accurately that early without other tests ?

tallulah · 11/09/2004 14:25

Thought the sex doesn't become obvious till at least 16 weeks? (&then only if the baby is the right way round). Sounds more like paper made-up a good story.... (but of course they don't do that, do they..)

littlemel · 11/09/2004 14:44

how much do you think it costs to have a baby at the portland??!! I quite like the beckhams, although she's a bit irritating at times, and he is so thick but that can be quite amusing in itself!

I also like the Beckhams. I know she's a bit of a pretentious tw*t sometimes, and he's a bit dim, but they do seem to be genuinely family orientated and pretty in love to boot.

FWIW, DH and I knew we were preg when I was 4 1/2 wks.

blueteddy · 16/09/2004 16:30

Apparantly they had a £200 3D scan & that is how they could tell the sex of their baby so early.
