I’ll grant you that killing him is extreme and not at all acceptable but the response from the police shows such a lack of understanding.

People, particularly professionals, really have to start accepting that not everyone demonstrates the reactions that others expect them to.

I think it is more of a feminist issue to be honest.
That the police simply couldn’t understand what the continued and systematic abuse of a girl would do to her.

This has made my blood boil. It's late and I have to sleep. I could have been that girl, not my father, but it could have been any of my abusers. I was an emotional sort of zombie, just wanted it to stop. I wouldn't have displayed any kind of remorse either. Not capable. It had all been taken. I have had a tiring day . Will be back.

The fb comments are at least very supportive of the poor woman.

Its true though, she showed no remorse? Is there any proof that he had been looking at indecent images of children? And even then, that’s not a motive for killing him and burying him in the garden.

I will read the link again but had she been abused by him?

She buried him in the back garden and claimed benefits for years?!! Most people couldn’t do that and have no emotion at all. And the police do have an understanding and awareness of trauma but they aren’t experts in that field.

Whilst I would absolutely resonate with a victim of abuse fighting back, this case is unique in the fact that she A. Buried him (rather than calling the police and explaining). B. Lied about his death and over a significant period of years acted as if he was still alive and C. Claimed a significant amount of money from the state fraudulently.

I mean all things considered, this specific case definitely seems to be financially motivated rather than anything else - I’m just going by that article that you linked though. It mentions images but nothing about abuse so I’m not sure if I’m missing information
