Nemo2007 · 14/05/2007 21:54

Is that the same bloke who was on watch dog this week cocky git about the quad bikes that were deemed unsafe??

Nikki76 · 14/05/2007 21:54

They drive with kids on their laps as a matter of course in Syria....I was when I saw it!! Attitudes to car safety over there are crazy!!

Nemo2007 · 14/05/2007 21:55

IF it is him he has already been in prison and think is words were 'it gives me time to work on my body and get in shape'

Spidermama · 14/05/2007 21:55

Wanker! She was probably climbing on his knee because she was so scared at the speed he was going.

When I go anywhere near 70 my dd says, 'Ooh mum we're going too fast. I don't like it.'

mamazon · 14/05/2007 21:58

omg

GiantSquirrelSpotter · 14/05/2007 23:38

I wonder if he lives with his child's mother?

Because I would want to divorce a man who did this to my child.

And if we were already divorced, I would want to stipulate as a condition of contact, that he would not be allowed to drive her anywhere. And then everyone would tell me I was unreasonable and bitter.

butterflywings · 14/05/2007 23:44

Spidermama, my DD (nearly 3yo) does that too

When my dad does anything over 40mph, she says "Grampy, no. You must go slow! I have a bumpy tummy..."

Bless

contentiouscat · 14/05/2007 23:53

Oh my DC tell me "go faster Mummy", I was once muttering under my breath at the Sunday driver in front of me and DC 1 said "What on earth is that man in the car in front doing, overtake him Mummy" not really feasible on a small country lane!

I wonder if they would have been so lenient if he had been unemployed and driving a wreck of a car?

mm22bys · 15/05/2007 06:29

There was a similar story in Perth, Australia - the baby was crying so he put him on his lap while he was driving at 105 km/h (65 miles / hr).

The punishment there was pretty lenient too - fined $1600 (less than £700), and disqualified from driving for 15 months.

here

belgo · 15/05/2007 06:36

I find the punishment very lenient.
