Are you scared about what the next few years may bring?
I freely admit I am. As much as anything coming from govt or the US, it's the dismissive comments from people who aren't getting how serious these events are. We're in for a rough time.
I keep thinking of sixteen year old boys being conscripted during ww2.

Do you know anything about modern warfare? It won't be trenches and marching. If our DC were conscripted they are far more likely to be coding or translating.

This is a much less worrying time than most of my life so no I am not worried at all.

Myrobalanna · 30/01/2017 22:34

No I don't know anything about modern warfare and tbh some of the answers to that effect have really put my mind at rest. I don;t think they were intended to do that specifically but thanks!

I have never ever worried about the outcome of politics like I am worrying now. I've never seen anything like it in my country or the US. The breathtaking deliberate misinformation and the bloody-minded racism.

OK I WILL stop worrying about my boy getting blown up in a few years, though. For now.

Andcake If by stupid alliances, you mean the U.S., we are already in alliance with them via NATO, and have been in alliance with them before that. If Brexit and Trump encourages the Europeans to stick their hands in their pockets to pay for their defence, instead of expecting the U.S. to bank roll it for them, then that is no bad thing.

TresDesolee · 31/01/2017 21:44

Are you confident about Bannon and Trump committing to NATO, scaryteacher?
