The time diffrence is crap in situations like that. I still haven't seen all of the State of the Union but I just couldn't stay up till one for it.

expatinscotland · 24/01/2007 21:54

With top up TV, I can now record it!

paulaplumpbottom · 24/01/2007 23:06

Dh refuses to get Sky Plus, it would have been perfect for this.

hunkermunker · 24/01/2007 23:15

There are people who think Bush is great? Really? Other than his blood relatives?

uwila · 25/01/2007 08:04

What happened to simply signing your name if you are registered to vote in the upcoming US presidential election?

Expat,
You'll need to join Republican's abroad to get an invitation to apply for a ticket to the embassy. Last time, you had to have a pass with your name on it and your passport, and as you would expect, security was very tight.

But, they did have big screen tellies with American television (ABC,CBS, NBC, FOX, etc.).

I don't think Bush is great, hunker, but I thought this was about exercising the right to vote, not what party you follow.

That's something I will always campaign for: people getting out there, going to the polls and putting the people who they think best stand for their beliefs in office, regardless of what party that might be.

Hope to see record numbers of voters both here and in the US elections!

VOTE PEOPLE! It's your right! People fought hard for it! Make your voice heard!

paulaplumpbottom · 25/01/2007 10:53

I wish everone shared your enthusiasm Expat!

uwila · 25/01/2007 11:51

Oh no, personally, there are SOME people who I'd rather didn't vote. Like those who can't punch a hole with a metal stick and leave the silly thing dangling... I mean really, it's not difficult.

Silly me, I thought this was a public forum...

uwila · 25/01/2007 14:08

Hunker, i just was trying to get an idea of how many people on this site are actually going to vote for US president. and we start chatting it makes it difficult to count those who have signed. But, I don't mean to keep you from debating what an arse Bush is...

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 25/01/2007 16:12

Ah, right, fair enough!

I'll just post once more with a and a "yes, he is an arse" and leave you to it then

Ron Paul, congressman from Texas is throwing his hat in the ring for 2008. Many have always said that he is the only honest guy we have in Congress. He is a libertarian but is registered as a republican. He is totally against Bush and Co and a real patriot.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Paul www.conspiracycafe.net/board_forum/index.php?showtopic=10765&hl=

I am campaigning for this guy bigtime!!!

uwila · 27/01/2007 12:45

Oh, I don't know. Isn't he anti abortion? And I think I've had about enough of the Texan image. I'd like to see someone who is fiscally right, but can be a bit more loyal to the separation of church and state.

OP posts:
Anoah · 27/01/2007 13:33

He is pro-life but he does not believe in making abortion illegal. He is for complete freedom and that includes abortion. He is a real republican and the complete opposite of neo-cons like george w. and crew. Those guys are neo-cons disguised as republicans.

Earlybird · 27/01/2007 13:46

Just read yesterday that John Edwards has a house that is over 28,000 square feet.

worldgonewild · 27/01/2007 19:50
