but it's actually not that common for there to be a jury at an inquest, only if the death was under questionable circumstances.
tbh I don't see what it would achieve. Everyone knows what happened, the driver was drunk, the paparazzi were chasing the car trying to take pictures, the car crashed because the drunk driver was speeding through the tunnel. they weren't wearing seatbelts so they died.
As for Mohamed Al Fayed he wouldn't be happy whatever happened. if a jury were appointed he'd have something to say about that too.
