..according to the daily mail

is that not just a bit money grabbing

he does say that he thought that perhaps Al Fayed should get it but that thought didn't last long

He is trying to get it shipped back to france to sell to the highest bidder

if someone is prepared to pay a million for it thats up to them, hes not forcing them to do it

as long as hes wiped the seats, thats ok

AlgernonGetYerTubaOut · 05/12/2006 13:22

It's a bit sick but the mawkish Diana Princess of Our Hearts lot will lap it up.....

paulaplumpbottom · 05/12/2006 13:23

I bet Al Fayed would pay that for it.

oh what drivel

who the hell is going to pay for a smashed up car?

do people really care that much?

people are strange

madmarchhare · 05/12/2006 14:53

Say the car belonged to me, and someone offered me a million, they could have it.

Tortington · 05/12/2006 14:55

is it taxed an MOT'd?

is it a good runner?

whats the book price?

recon you could haggle them down a bit?

crappywappynamechangingwuss · 05/12/2006 14:58

Will he sell on eBay?

zippitippitoes · 05/12/2006 15:09

Mr Al Fayed said: "If Mr Musa had any dignity and honour he would give it to me as a memorial. "It's immoral that he's trying to make money out of a tragedy. We gave his company a lot of business in hiring cars, and this is what he does."

sick

even sicker the person that buys it

noddyholder · 05/12/2006 15:25

I know we could all say how sick betrayal etc blah blah but most people would be tempted

zippitippitoes · 05/12/2006 15:28

I wonder what someone will do with it though is there really an untapped market of people who will want to see it?

It would never have occurred to me that it would be kept I would have thought it would have gone to th crusher

DizzyBinterWonderland · 05/12/2006 15:28

madmarchhare- that's how i'd be. give me a million, they can have it. what should the owner do with it after all?

expatinscotland · 05/12/2006 15:38

Can you imagine spending £1m on something like that?

That's whacked.

zippitippitoes · 05/12/2006 15:40

I agree expat

it mentions james dean in the article is his on display somehwere?

I just have this vision of being able to go in a simulator and expereince the crash as part of the potential exhibit

with a voice matched dialogue and one of those reality projections like they do for dead singers to do stage duets with contemporary singers

OP posts:
paulaplumpbottom · 05/12/2006 17:31

Give it to Al Fayed as a memorial? Whats he going to do? Put it in Harrods?

GlennCloseAsCruellaDeVille · 05/12/2006 20:17

that would be interesting! In the window of course!
