Who would make a good PM?

I would like to see John Reid as PM. He would kick some butts .

Just a hint of caution on the Celtic Tiger comparison w/Scotland. Once the short term tax breaks ran out in Ireland, businesses that had been attracted there started to look elsewhere. Cooincided with emergence of much more competitive markets (india, china, e/europe). Jobs threatened. In the meantime, a housing boom over there meant people had saddled themselves with massive mortgages. It's POSSIBLe the whole thing could fall apart. Their devt was also massively subsidised by the EU.

He's alright. I give him a lot of credit for his POW experience. Not sure about his age, though. He must be getting on a bit.

I like him. I like the fact that he doesn't always feel the need to tow the party line.

Rudy is too librel. He is only fiscally conservative. He to is pro-choice, plus he has had two messy divorces, so again I doubt he gets the Rebulican nomination. Same with Pataki only minus the divorces.

I would feel happy voting for McCain, but Rudy and Pataki won't be getting my vote in the primarys.
