Queen's speech - thoughts?

here's mine:

HS2 - yes, we really need this ridiculous trainset with the utterly fallacious cost-benefit analysis. Meanwhile our existing railways are falling apart.

frozen taxes - great. So how are things such as the above to get paid for?

right to buy from housing associations at a discount - so how's that going to improve housing supply?

ban legal highs - good, they are dangerous. Having them legal gives the impression that they aren't as well as making them accessible.

energy - 'increase energy security'. Read this week's private eye, and start making your own plans. It's not good, although it would have been just as bad if not worse under the others.

answers welcome!

The TUSC only stood in 135 seats and lost their deposit in every seat. They have a total of just 4 councillors across the country. They are not a realistic option in my view in that they will not win a general election (or even win enough seats to hold the balance of power) in the near future. Indeed, given that working people in the UK have not historically supported parties of the extreme left, the TUSC will have to change radically if it wants to become a major player.

Yes, sadly because voters that wanted a genuine left-wing party believed en-masse that to put the Tories out they had to vote Labour. The virtual media blackout the TUSC as well as all other left-wing parties get doesn't help either. This would have to change if people vote where their hearts lie.

I'm presuming you're a Labour voter, to you I'd say this - If they, (Labour) try to recover from their recent election defeat with a further shift to the right they are truly finished IMO.
