Radio 1, 11.15 this evening Dogging

I have just heard a clip of a programme on Radio 1 tonight. It is an undercover look at how popular dogging is. I'm not having a laugh here, it was quite disturbing. Apparently it is a national phenomenon. It sounds very dangerous and i hope it doesn't take off in the carpark opposite me. I will be listening and didn't even know it was a common passtime.

So is dogging actually having sex in a carpark, or watching other people doing it.

Only if it's the former, there wasn't a name for it in my day (haven't we all??).

If it's the latter, thats just sick

Apparently, you turn up at the designated dogging place, either alone or with a partner. Then you can watch people having sex, or if given the appropriate signals (lights flashing etc) you can participate, depending on what you want.

You'd need quite a large car if there are a few people. What is the etiquette? Do people from an orderly queue? What if another car flashes, is it rude to leave th first car to see if the 2nd car is better?

Am not entirely sure. I think car headlights flashing mean the show is about to start, and interior lights flashing means others can join in if they want. I guess they just wait for a suitable opportunity and jump in!
