Not sure who I'm voting for yet, more sure of who I'm not voting for I'm including you Pirate Party

Heard quite a few people saying that they will be voting Green though Smile

poppyknot · 16/05/2014 23:21

I will be voting green ?

HeeHiles · 16/05/2014 23:38

Yes I will be voting Green in European elections. I will probably vote Labour for local as my MP is on the whole very good. I have disagreed with some of her votes in Parliament but on ground level she is hardworking and has personally helped some friends of mine and has supported and advised me on several matters.

Greens seem to have some morals and I love their policies, ideally in the nationals next year I would like a
Labour Grreen coalition. Sorry spellings are shocking, long nails on a tablet!

HeeHiles · 16/05/2014 23:40

Poor Natalie on Newsnight, the intervewer kept talking over her, and the other guests! I really think now is thetime for the Greens to make their voice heard and get their policies known.

MrsRTea · 16/05/2014 23:42

Green issues are going to be the most pressing ones for our dc and their dc.

Even if they don't get elected, every vote sends a message to the other parties that people are concerned about green issues. So worth turning out for.

Keepcalmanddrinkwine · 16/05/2014 23:50

I always use my Europe vote for Green, it is important that they (we) have a voice in Europe.

stayathomegardener · 16/05/2014 23:58

I postal voted Green....Saw it a wasted but hey maybe not!

Solopower1 · 17/05/2014 12:14

I would vote Green, but I'm sulking over their stance on Scottish independence.

I know the Scottish Greens are in favour of localism, but I feel we could both empower local communities while being part of something bigger, and working for a better world for everyone. It's so short sighted! If Scotland became independent, we would have no influence over the anti-environmental policies of the rest of the UK - but we would be directly affected by them. The wind and rain don't know national boundaries, and as rich developers build on more and more green belt sites south of the border, they will start moving north.

But yes, the Greens can play an important part in Europe. They are happy to work for a vision of a united, Greener Europe, but the Scottish Greens want the UK to split up. It doesn't make sense. Angry

Merguez · 17/05/2014 18:17

The thing is European elections are Proportional representation, so a Green vote really does make a difference.

Good to see other Mnetters are green tinged ...

Yes, particularly for the European elections.

goldenlilliesdaffodillies · 17/05/2014 20:51

Yes I am voting Green and always do.

ohmymimi · 18/05/2014 11:26

I have already voted (postal) Green!

Meglet · 18/05/2014 11:35

I've always voted green in the european elections (they're the only time they appear in my area) but I'm toying with labour this time. Whatever it takes to keep UKIP at bay really.

I've also forgotten how proportional representation works Blush.

soupmaker · 18/05/2014 11:40

I've voted Green. The candidate at the top of the Green list in Scotland is a left-wing Green so she got my vote. I'm really hoping she manages to win a seat. Scotland currently has two Labour, two SNP, one Tory and one Lib Dem. Would be brilliant if the Lib Dems lost their seat.

I'm in favour of Scottish Independence. I firmly believe there is the possibility and potential in the long term for much greater social justice if we manage our own affairs and for Scotland to lead the way on environmental issues.
