...that The Tories have stolen it. I've lost count of the number of U-turns they've done now. They really are the gift that keeps giving. :o

Nothing wrong with adapting to new circumtsances.

'They really are the gift that keeps giving'
I fail to see what the Tories have to do with Reverend Flowers.

George Eaton in the New Statesman writes

"It leaves Ed Miliband with a political open goal: "David Cameron is 'asking' the energy companies to freeze prices; I'll force them too.""

But it may be too late for Ed. The ball may already be in the back of the net. Talking about using "force" may be an own goal if Tory "persuasion" succeeds. There is no point forcing someone to do what they have willingly chosen to do already. That may be portrayed as strongarm Stalinist tactics. Where's the glasnost? Maybe the Tory way of friendly dialogue is better than being forced, bullied and bossed.

They are great chess players at Tory HQ, that's what they do, they're strides and steps ahead of Labour. Yet again Labour has rushed in and made the mistake those Tories to underrate, this looks like a certain case of checkmate.

The Tory strategists have used their nous and trumped the Labour spin doctors with a full house. The pantomime season is yet to begin and already New Labour's hopes are in the bin.

Ed's mistake is that he showed his hand, he let the Tories know what he had planned and for a while he was able to grandstand. He should have kept his cards close to his chest and revealed them at the time that was best - election time - then the Tories would have had a mountain to climb.

I don't really know where to start after reading yet more arrant nonsense from you claig. But yes, those towering intellects such as Camerwrong, Gidiot, Iain 'Returned To Unit' Duncan Smith etc. A man who looks like a boiled ham, one whose only proper job was as a towel folder, and one who couldn't lie straight in bed.

Camerwrong, Gidiot, Drunken Smith et al are just the good looking frontmen, the real brains are hidden deep in the bowels of Tory HQ. We never see them, we merely read their wise thoughts. They are all grandmasters in the game of chess.

HoratiaDrelincourt · 29/11/2013 12:30

In fairness, "asking" is actually achievable. All that Oik Miliband would have been able to achieve would be a massive overnight price hike when his party won, followed by a price freeze at the higher price. Um, thanks?

Thanks, Dr2, best laugh of the day! Grin

ohtanmybum · 29/11/2013 16:01

I take my last post back, claig's 'good looking frontmen' just tops it.

Iain and Duncan Smith, a pair of cunts so stupid they spent £75k on a survey to find out how popular the Single Room Supplement isn't. He really is as thick as they say. :o
