I want to write something but the last lines of that made me cry I think about you all often misdee even though I don't know you and I am truly inspired by the way you bring this to the public attention and generally cope on a daily basis. I am sure that such articles have an impact and make people change there mind about donating organs. Good for you all. Best wishes x

i am goi9ng to make some corrections, peter wasnt just on warfarin, that was one of about 11 drugs he was initially placed on. now he is on a lot more.

the ICD didnt go off too many times so they did lvad, he went spiralling into end stage heart failure and no donor was found so lvad was done.

he has now had 4.5 calls, not 3.

peter has already had one stroke which has affected his sight and memory.

I guess they had to edit it down to fit it in, misdee - it's still very illuminating and educational (and tragic ) - hope it makes more people go on the donor register.

I sent dh out especially to get a copy. I think Peter is looking really well on the pic.

did you read the bit underneath abouty the girl with CF who stil goes swimming with hwer oxygen. amazing what determination makes people do.

Yes, misdee - there is a girl here (was head girl at the 6th form last year) who is just like that, really high-achieving and equally gorgeous. Ain't no justice.
