Migratory fish that spends part of its life cycle in fresh water I guess. But that holds good of salmon too...

niceglasses · 26/06/2006 16:12

Can I just ask if anyone has managed to buy a standard frame for these? I fancied framing a couple but couldn't find a frame in Ikea?

Sorry if this asked before, being too lazy to read whole thread.

Hello all,
I've been nagged all week by my dh (he of wallchart fame) to give a plug to his newest giveway a "What to do with the kids this Summer" Family Special Guide, which is free with this Saturday's Grauniad. So here it is! I've seen it and it is really useful - contains reviews of best UK beaches, picnic spots, castles, adventure playgrounds, museums and animal parks to name a few. And what's more, it was edited by Joanna Moorhead who compiles Mumsnet newsletter, so it must be good .

So all in all it would be fabbo if you (Telegraph readers included) could please, please, please buy Saturday's paper cos you'll be really happy with your Guide and if the Graun doesn't sell more papers that day then my other half will look silly at work. Thankyou.

Ok shameless nepotism over now, back to the grindstone .

Blu · 06/07/2006 14:19

We have ALL the wall charts, and I had already reminded myself to get the 'kids / summer' supplement - will have to dash out early before it sells out! the Guardian is always sold out early...why? Why don't outlets buy enough in?

TheDullWitch · 07/07/2006 09:28

Wow, the Saturday Telegraph has two dinosaur posters this weekend!

Alan · 07/07/2006 09:29

Blu, its the guardian that left over here Tabloids sell out v v quickly

has anyone sourced any cheapish frames for their wallcharts btw?

foxinsocks · 07/07/2006 09:40

think it is one in the sat telegraph (herbivores) and one in the sun telegraph (carnivores) to tie in with the exhibition at the nat his museum

bet the guardian ones have improved sales justine!

dinosaurs I was talking about (in case anyone didn't see the connection between the witch's post and mine!)

I think dinosaurs beat fungi any day.

Fauve · 07/07/2006 11:14

So the conscientious parent will have to buy The Guardian and The Telegraph on Saturday, and The Sunday Telegraph on Sunday, if it doesn't make us gag. Can The Observer offer us anything nice on Sunday?

Blu · 07/07/2006 11:31

But dinosaurs are extinct. (good choice for the Telegraph...) - you can't go out and spot them. But Moondog will be able to recover her image.

Blu · 07/07/2006 11:32

Fauve - I think the Observer has the 'Woman' supplement. Why don't they do 'Food' every week?

Fauve · 07/07/2006 11:35

Oh yes, the Telegraph could do Fossils next.

JanH · 07/07/2006 11:35

Should we buy two Guardians on Saturday to help DH's office standing then, Justine?

Fauve · 07/07/2006 11:36

And I think The Observer should up the ante and offer us a free nanny for the day.

JustineMumsnet · 07/07/2006 11:37

At least two JanH

glassofwine · 07/07/2006 11:58

Have only just found this thread and therefore missed these posters, will go buy guardian todya and see whats inside, but does anyone know if you can order the previous ones?

foxinsocks · 07/07/2006 12:36

I agree Blu - I love that Food magazine. The other special ones they do (woman, sport etc.) are not a patch on the Food one.

OP posts:
Fauve · 07/07/2006 15:13

The Guardian should throw in a free set of posters if you subscribe or something.
