Did anybody see the opinion piece on this in the Saturday Times last week? I wish I could link to it online but the Times is subscription isn't it?
It was an interesting article 'we need to stop internet porn grooming men' and discussed how it was too easy for online porn users (commonly men) to be led down the path to more and more unsavoury viewing abd that a big flashy warning popping up at the right time might be enough to stop a lot of viewers before they access the child abuse stuff.
Apparently CEOP are against this as 'they didn't want to warn men, they wanted to catch them. I'm reminded of councils concealing speed cameras to trap more motorists, forgetting the whole point is to make roads safer'
It's an interesting point well illustrated by such Mumsnet staples as dragon butter. Who hasn't found something on the Internet they didn't want or mean to look at abd at what point do we become so desensitised to it that it changes us to a monster who gets our kicks from child abuse?
food for thought anyway.
