Does anyone remember the massacre in Norway this summer?

To jog the memory, an article from The Guardian here

Norwegian papers have deemed it unethical to interview the perpetrator, out of respect for the families of the victims.

But foreign large papers are literally queuing up, beating down the doors of the prison, keen to interview Mr Breivik, who has been diagnosed psychotic.

Do you think Norwegian paper is taking "press/tabloid ethcis" too far? Should Mr Behring be given a voice to the world?

No, why pander to his ego?

I think Norway has it spot on.

I agree also, don't let him have the opportunity to spout his demented/insane/psycho thoughts .....

Well done Norway.

I don't think someone who commits a massacre to get a platform should be rewarded by getting what they want- the Norwegian press have made a sensible decision.

He sacrificed his right to a platform to peddle his shit when he killed innocent people

Norway have it right

Agree with Norwegian decision.

It would be disrespectful to his victims and excruciating for their families.

Wrong for so many reasons

Wrong that anyone would profit from this terrible massacre - I don't know whether they would be allowed to pay Mr Breivik but the papers would certainly profit from the story

Wrong that people with their eye on the bottom line would be allowed to interview someone with such severe mental health problems

Wrong that someone with such disturbed views be encouraged to expound on them which surely would hamper any treatment

Wrong that he should be treated as a "celebrity" given the awfullness of what he has done

Right decision by Norway

I am sick of the lowest common denominator factor in so many sections of the press.
